Chad Richards, Director of Social Marketing

Chad Richards is Director of Social Marketing at Firebelly, a speaker on the national social media conference circuit and manages all client programs.

Who I am

In addition to digesting Duncan’s big ideas and breaking them down into actionable items that can be measured and monitored for success, I’m responsible for spearheading Firebelly’s research and development efforts and integrating findings into workable client programs. I’m also very hands-on with contests and communities we manage in order to uncover and analyze any trends, behaviors or changes that may be occurring so that content and conversation approaches can be adjusted accordingly – allowing us to better serve both our clients and their customers.

I spend a lot of my time fine tuning programs
I spend a lot of my time fine tuning programs and I speak frequently at conferences around the country on the topics of community management and social promotions.

My Background

Before coming to Firebelly I founded a filmmaking co-op called The Film Commune. Together we made films, launched and organized the Indianapolis Underground Film Festival for 4 years – showcasing under-the-radar films from up-and-coming directors. I also produced a television show for the local ABC affiliate about the Indy art scene called Indie Scene TV and was a reporter for the U.K.-based online news show Inside Report.

My Favorite Things

  • My job. I’m excited to come to work every morning.
  • Results we get for clients (can you tell I’m a bit of a workaholic?)
  • Film, food and fun with family and friends.
