3 Facebook Page Best Practices Every Brand Should Know

Here are three Facebook page best practices every brand should know. You’ll grow your audience, increase engagement and boost sales in no time!

You’d think that because Facebook has been around long enough, most brands would have a grasp of it by now. But based on the inquires we receive (and the conversations we have) almost daily, that is certainly not the case.

Focusing on these three things will take you far—we’ve seen it with the brands we’ve worked with and on Firebelly’s Facebook page too.

1. Promote your page.

You’ve got a Facebook page, but what you really want is fans, right? Surely you have many happy customers who’d love to like your page. But do they know about it? If you build it, they will not come.

You’ve got to promote it.

Put up signs in your location(s). Include your Facebook page URL so they know exactly where to find you. No vague “Like Us On Facebook” signs allowed, okay?

Run Facebook ads that promote your page. You may not want to pay right now, but they do really work. You’ll thank me later.

2. Post consistently.

There are a lot of brand “graveyard pages” on Facebook—those that haven’t been updated in weeks or months (or years). Don’t be one of those. Aim to post to your page at least 3 times a week.

Start with pictures. People love pictures. You’re in your business every day and you probably have a smartphone with a camera on you—take pictures and post them.

3. Be responsive.

If you’ve got customers, you’re going to have questions (and complaints). Don’t worry, you’ll get compliments too. But it’s important that you answer their questions, address their complaints and thank them for their compliments.

Remember, not responding is a response—it says you don’t care.
