Learn how to make your influencer program go farther with these 3 influencer marketing tips!
Influencer Marketing Tips
Your influencer marketing program might be doing good, but a little extra push will take it from good to great.
1. Get organized
Streamline your spreadsheets by buying one or more influencer marketing tools.
There are many end-to-end influencer tools that can get your process more organized, but sometimes it’s even helpful just to find a good identification or outreach tool.
Speed up your influencer negotiations by creating a compensation framework.
Essentially, determine different compensation scales for different levels of influencers. This doesn’t always have to be a monetary compensation, but it makes things a lot easier when you know what you are able to offer an influencer based on their value before you reach out to them.

Re-organize or start your influencer program by deciding your desired outcome.
Are you trying to get to a certain number of influencers, have X amount of engagements, drive website traffic, or make a sales goal? Your key outcome matters because you’ll organize your program around achieving it.
2. Know it’s not just about you
Understand what winning means for the influencer.
If they don’t win, no one wins. One way of accomplishing this is by providing unique incentives like behind the scenes access, event invites, or first to know information.
Show them you care by providing pre-planned content ideas.
Influencers are more apt to work with brands when they have a jumping off point for creating content.
A crucial way to show you care about influencers is knowing their previous work!
It is a high priority to make time for researching influencers when you are doing identification work, so that you can approach them from an educated standpoint.
3. Eliminate obstacles
Get all the details streamlined to make your program succinct and profitable.
A good way to do this is to minimize touch points with the influencer. Switch to e-contracts, online forms, and pre-written outreach copy.

Know ahead of time what you can and can’t offer influencers.
Nothing is worse than being in the middle of negotiations with an influencer and not having approval from higher-ups about compensation. This leads to an even bigger obstacle that needs to be addressed in order to really accelerate your influencer program.
Get key decision makers on the same page about the program.
Educating others in your organization about influencer marketing creates a unified team and cuts potential problems off before they happen.
