Acronyms, abbreviations, and slang terms are foisted our way by marketing and advertising professionals who seem to be long on cool and short on time.

And they’re doing such a good job, our spoken vernaculars are being shaped by the way we communicate digitally. Case in point: how many times have you heard someone say “OMG” aloud?

Let’s sift through all the shorthand BS and take a look at the acronyms your brand should know.

B2B: Business to Business, companies selling to other companies

B2C: Business to Consumer, companies selling to individuals

CPA: Cost per acquisition, dividing the total cost of conversions by the total number of conversions

CPC: Cost per click, dividing the total cost of all clicks by the total number of clicks
