Tinker Coffee Co. Goes the Last Mile With Creating Experiences

Tinker Coffee Co

Steve Hall, co-founder of Tinker Coffee Co., started his career in the wine industry then moved into software and now he’s a coffee guy. It started with an idea and has expanded into a successful business that continues to grow.

On our latest episode of #GotTheFire, Hall explains how Tinker Coffee Co. has taken the coffee experience to the last mile. Here are the main steps Hall and his team have made to make an idea a reality.

Take Risks

Taking an idea and making it a reality is a risk. However, it’s an important step towards your goals. Evaluate the need your idea would be filling, the experiences it can create and your own personal level of investment.

In the creation of Tinker Coffee Co., Hall and his brother-in-law felt that Indianapolis’ coffee scene was not quite reaching the level of other comparable cities. With a desire to help be a part of the growth and with a passion for coffee, they made the jump from their 9-5 jobs to being coffee roasters.

Have Passion

Success stems from passion and a commitment to excellence. It takes an understanding of what makes your idea great, as well as, creating an experience that puts an exclamation mark on people’s day.

For Hall, he started learning everything he could about coffee and roasting. Making a cup of coffee is easy, but creating a great cup of coffee takes skill. He also wanted the best ingredients.

His passion and drive to craft an experience for others led to the high-quality Tinker Coffee Co. coffee you find at Coat Check Coffee, Provider, Commissary Barber & Barista, and other local shops around Indy.

Support Others

You’re taking risks and you’re sharing your passion. Why not make a local or even global impact with your idea.

Tinker Coffee Co. is not only locally connected but globally as well. They support local by providing coffee to Indianapolis small businesses that brew and sell coffee. However, before the coffee even makes it to Indianapolis, let alone the U.S., it first comes hard working people in places like Rwanda.

From an idea formed a roasted coffee that can be found in retailers and is now turning into an even more accessible experience – Tinker Coffee Co. mobile coffee is coming soon.

We hope you found Hall’s journey inspirational. You can catch the full interview in the video below.
