In honor of National Indiana Day, we wanted to share why at Firebelly Marketing we like working and living in Indiana.
Firebelly is based in Indianapolis, Indiana in the Broad Ripple neighborhood, and has been since our inception. Here’s why we’ve stayed put in the state and city:
Duncan Alney | Founder & Strategist
I believe that Indianapolis is — and always has been — a marketing tech hub. Indianapolis has a tech legacy dating back 20 years, and ongoing tech development has prompted an entire ecosystem to support it.
Indy has a large talent pool, a reasonable cost of living, and a growing amount of amenities — which are just a few reasons for why the Indianapolis tech scene continues to grow.
Employees want to work in Indianapolis with its much-improved food and entertainment scene. Plus, we have relatively affordable office space, and there’s an increasing supply of labor that is more affordable than the coasts.
Chad Richards | VP, Social Media Services
I think the food scene in Bloomington and Indy are the biggest reasons I like working and living in Indiana. There are so many great local restaurants that I enjoy dining in (and working with).
Kelly Andres | Social Media Manager
I love watching Indiana continuously growing, specifically Indianapolis, in the restaurant, tech and arts community. It’s great being so close to an area full of local hot spots, and there is a sense of community for those who live or work here.
Ryan Campbell | Ad Services Manager
Though I’m not a native of Indiana, Indianapolis has grown on me and has so much to offer. It is what I like to refer to as a big small town. Indy has all of the benefits of living in a city with an abundance of gorgeous parks and outdoor venues, fun museums, a wide range of restaurants, and unique neighborhoods. Coupling that with it’s laid back attitude and friendly residents, makes it a wonderful place to live.
Lauren Johnson | Social Media Manager
Broad Ripple is a wonderful neighborhood with a creative and artistic community. I love living and working in this neighborhood, walking to work is an excellent way to get ready for the work day! Indianapolis continues to grow and adapt to changes in the world, I can’t wait to see what is in store for this great city in the future. Also, I may not be a fan of being cold, but the changing of the seasons is quite inspiring.
Taylor Carlier | Social Media & Influencer Manager
I’ve lived in Indiana for most of my life and love the city of Indianapolis. After graduating from Purdue University in West Lafayette, I knew I wanted to move to Broad Ripple immediately because of the walkability and the vibrant spirit the community has. Working and living in the same neighborhood is the cherry topper. This state is the perfect mix of new opportunity and long-lasting warmth.
